He has become accustomed to witnessing the losses and wounds of others, yet has never dared to confront his own. This character does not need to be overly verbal, but must be able to communicate deeply even in silence. The role includes two moments in the story where English dialogue is required. Yet he still believes in the quiet value of ordinary life — and continues, unknowingly, to wait for a friend to return.
